My Diary

I had one quiet moment and almost distrusted it

Dear Delyara, The room finally softened. Nothing interrupted. And instead of relaxing immediately, I found myself waiting for whatever would spoil it. That says too much, probably. Stress teaches suspicion so effectively. Even peace can start to feel like a temporary gap instead of a place you are allowed to enter fully. I noticed that in my body tonight — the delay between quiet arriving and trust following. Eventually trust came a little. Not all the way. Enough. I’ll take enough.
