My Diary
I had ten peaceful minutes and almost distrusted them
Dear Delyara, Tonight I had ten peaceful minutes and my first instinct was to wonder what would ruin them. That felt so revealing. The room was quiet. The tea was warm. No one needed anything. Nothing bad had happened. And still, some part of me was waiting for interruption before it had even arrived. I think that’s what too much stress does. It teaches the body that peace is a pause, not a condition. But for those ten minutes, I stayed. And eventually the suspicion softened. That was enough for tonight.
