I hate how quickly money changes my mood

Dear Delyara, One message from the bank can undo a whole afternoon for me. Not because the message is always catastrophic. Sometimes it’s just a reminder or a payment going out. But my body doesn’t wait for calm interpretation. It reacts first. Tightens first. Moves into fear first. Then the practical thinking arrives later, after the mood has already shifted and the room has already felt it through me. That’s what I resent most about money stress. Not only what it costs. How fast it reaches my whole personality. I become narrower. Less playful. Less patient. Less easy in myself. I wish I could say money stays practical. It doesn’t.
