My Diary
I hated the sound of my own phone tonight
Dear Delyara, Even when nothing bad came through it. That’s how I knew I was done. The sound itself felt invasive. Not loud, not rude, just too entering. It’s strange how a tiny notification can feel like somebody stepping into your emotional room without knocking first. Tonight every small sound from that device made me feel less like a person and more like an access point. So I put it face down. Then in another room. Then I felt guilty for the relief. A very modern little tragedy.
