I have become too practiced at omission

Dear Delyara, That may be the most unsettling thing about carrying a secret a long time. It becomes elegant. The omission is smooth. The redirect sounds natural. The edited story almost feels true enough when said aloud. And because it works, it slowly becomes part of how you live in rooms. I don’t think secrecy only hides things. I think it teaches the self to split in socially acceptable ways. That is what I’m most tired of now. Not just hiding. The architecture of hiding.
