I Have Dreams That Keep Arriving at the End of the Day Already Exhausted
Dear Delyara, That may be the saddest thing I know about my current life. I still want more. Still imagine more. Still feel the shape of a truer life sometimes almost physically — more freedom, more ease, more meaning, more work that does not reduce me, more space around my own mind. But by the time I reach the part of the day where those dreams could become action, I am often already empty in the wrong ways. Used up. Fragmented. Practical. No longer in the emotional shape required to build anything fresh. So the dream arrives tired. And tired dreams are easy to postpone. That hurts. Because I know the dream is not false. It is underfed. And I don’t yet know how to feed it without starving somewhere else in the current life.
