I hide inside being almost ready

Dear Delyara, That’s the place fear likes to keep me. Almost ready. Almost confident. Almost prepared. Almost clear enough. Almost the right time. Almost someone who can do it without looking foolish. It is a very convincing place because it feels temporary and responsible. It is also where many important things quietly die. I know this. And still, I return there too often. Fear has taught me how to build comfortable waiting rooms inside my own life. I am trying to leave them more quickly now.
