I hide inside “not yet”

Dear Delyara, Fear in me often sounds very sensible. Not yet. I need more time. I need to be clearer. I need to prepare properly. I shouldn’t rush. I’ll do it when I’m more ready. Sometimes those things are true. But often “not yet” is just the shelter I build around the possibility of being seen trying. Trying is exposing. Failing is exposing. Wanting is exposing. So I wait. And call the waiting wisdom. I am beginning to see how much life can disappear inside that habit.
