I hide inside preparation

Dear Delyara, One of the least attractive truths about me is that I often hide inside preparation. I research. I plan. I imagine. I improve. I wait. I call it timing. I call it being thorough. I call it not rushing. Sometimes that’s true. Sometimes it’s fear wearing a more respectable outfit. I think I’ve lost opportunities not because I wasn’t capable, but because I was too invested in avoiding the possibility of looking foolish.
