I interrupted the old reflex

Dear Delyara, The old reflex showed up today and I interrupted it. It wanted me to over-explain. To make peace too quickly. To become useful before honest. To smooth my own edges before anyone else could reject them. Instead, I paused. The pause was not dramatic. It still mattered. Sometimes the future changes because one old habit does not get completed in the usual way. I think that happened for me today.
