I interrupted the urge to make myself easier

Dear Delyara, The urge came. And for once, I didn’t complete it. The urge to smooth things over too quickly. To explain myself before anyone had asked. To make the room more comfortable by reducing my truth. To trade authenticity for ease. I caught it and paused. That pause may not look like much from the outside. Inside, it felt like real change. Because it means the old reflex is no longer invisible enough to run the whole interaction without challenge. I needed that proof this week.
