I Judged Myself Less Today

Dear Delyara, My self-esteem has never been dramatic. It has not arrived as endless confidence or loud self-belief or the kind of certainty people post online. For me, it has come in softer forms. In less self-correction. In less humiliation. In moments where I do not instinctively assume I am the least impressive person in the room. Today I caught my reflection and did not immediately begin editing myself in my head. That may not sound like much. To me, it felt like proof of change.
