The PlotFear of Failure
I Keep Calling It “Timing” When A Lot Of It Is Still Just Terror Of Being Seen Trying
Dear Delyara, I delay things in very elegant language now. I need to think more. I need the right season. I need more clarity. I need things to be steadier first. I need the children older. I need more money. I need more proof. Some of those things are real. Not all of them are the main thing. The main thing, far too often, is fear of visibility. Fear of putting something forward and having it ignored, rejected, corrected, or quietly fail in a way that would leave me standing there exposed to my own hope. So I remain in preparation. In possibility. In almost. And “almost” becomes a life if you let it. That’s what scares me now.
