I keep expecting my body to negotiate with pressure

Dear Delyara, I think I’ve asked too much of my body for too long. To adapt. To recover quickly. To not need attention yet. To keep going while the mind decides the timing. To delay until I’m less busy, more available, more convenient, more ready. Bodies do not negotiate like that forever. Eventually they start speaking louder. I am trying to become more respectful before it gets to that point. Some days I still catch myself expecting too much silence from something that has already been overused.
