I keep expecting the body to be more patient than life is

Dear Delyara, That feels brutally true. Life is impatient. Work is impatient. Bills are impatient. Schedules are impatient. Needs are impatient. And somehow I expect my body to absorb all of that, keep up, wait politely, and not make too much noise about its limits until I am ready to respond. That expectation is unfair. And deeply familiar. I’m trying to stop living as though the body’s first job is endurance. It’s hard to unlearn.
