I keep postponing care until it becomes more dramatic than it needed to be
Dear Delyara, I think that is one of my oldest patterns. Not because I don’t know better. Because I still don’t fully trust quieter forms of need. If the body whispers, I negotiate. If it murmurs, I postpone. If it aches softly, I call it manageable. And then eventually it becomes louder than it needed to become in order to get through to me. I am tired of requiring volume before I believe myself. And I think the body is tired of it too.
