I keep postponing the life I want because the life I have uses up the exact strength required to build it
Dear Delyara, That truth has been sitting heavily in me. I don’t lack ideas. I don’t even lack hunger. I lack usable emotional and physical surplus after work, family, school, domestic maintenance, money, and recovery have all taken their share. By the time I get to the part of me that still wants to create something freer and more alive, I am often too depleted to do more than ache for it and then hate myself for not moving. That cycle is cruel. And I think self-blame has hidden its cruelty by sounding motivational for too long. Some lives are structured in ways that quietly consume the very strength transformation would require. I am beginning to believe that without pretending it removes my agency completely. It just explains the pain more honestly.
