I Keep the Life Going, But I Don’t Feel Led
Dear Delyara, There is so much movement in my days that it can hide the deeper stillness underneath. I move from task to task, role to role, person to person, obligation to obligation. There is no shortage of motion. And yet, when I ask myself if I feel deeply directed — not scheduled, not useful, not responsible, but directed — the answer is too often no. That frightens me. Because it means a person can be fully occupied and still spiritually stalled. You can look responsible while privately drifting. You can be praised for competence while quietly losing the thread of your own becoming. I think that may be where I am more often than I want to admit.
