The UnknownUncertainty

I keep trying to emotionally solve things that are still just unknown

Dear Delyara, The unanswered email. The delayed result. The strange symptom. The conversation I know is coming but haven’t yet had. The money problem that will need attention next week but cannot actually be fixed tonight. I don’t know how to leave these things in the category of unknown. My mind drags them immediately into the category of work. It wants to do something with them — predict, rehearse, interpret, soften, prepare, build emotional furniture around them before they have even fully arrived. That has to be one of the most exhausting habits I live with. And because it happens mostly inside, nobody sees how much work I have already done before I say I’m tired.
