My Diary
I kept standing instead of sitting down
Dear Delyara, Like if I sat, I would feel too much. Like if I kept moving between rooms, small tasks, taps, drawers, cups, doors, I could stay ahead of whatever was waiting in the quieter layer underneath. It didn’t work for long. Eventually the feeling caught up anyway — not a huge feeling, just that low private heaviness that says you’ve had too much life enter you today and not enough softness return. Sitting down didn’t solve it. But it stopped the pretending.
