My Diary
I kept wanting one room with no memory in it
Dear Delyara, There are rooms that carry too much. Conversations. Versions of me. Old moods. Old decisions. Things that happened there and never fully left. Tonight I wished for a room with no memory in it. A neutral space. A borrowed space. Somewhere my body didn’t already know things, didn’t already associate corners and lighting with old emotional weather. I think sometimes what I crave is not escape from life, but escape from emotional residue. That craving felt strong tonight.
