I know how to continue without knowing whether the fire is still mine

Dear Delyara, I still move. That is not the issue. The issue is whether I still feel inwardly claimed by the thing I’m moving toward. Some ambitions now feel inherited, maintained, respectable, structurally intact — but not necessarily alive. I can’t always tell whether I am following desire or just carrying momentum with dignity. That uncertainty feels sadder than I expected it to.
