My Diary
I lay down and realised I was still carrying tomorrow in my shoulders
Dear Delyara, My shoulders were raised. My jaw was tight. My stomach still held the quiet shape of unfinished things. School. Work. Money. The conversation I still need to have. The appointment I still haven’t booked. The possibility that one child is not okay in a way I have not yet fully named. The fear that I am more tired than I am admitting even to myself. I was in bed. None of it was. That may be the clearest sentence I can write about this phase of life.
