I leave family spaces carrying extra emotional noise

Dear Delyara, Even on relatively good days, I often leave family interactions with more internal noise than I arrived with. Maybe because those spaces are never only about what happened that day. They contain years of roles, assumptions, comparisons, old reflexes, old loyalties, unfinished emotional translations, and the weight of being known through older versions of yourself. It’s possible to love people and still need recovery from them. That feels important to say. I think many people live inside that truth quietly.
