My Diary
I left the mug in the sink on purpose
Dear Delyara, I had spent the whole evening clearing, answering, putting away, sorting, and smoothing the path into tomorrow for everyone else. At the very end, there was one mug in the sink and one voice in me saying, just do it now so the kitchen is properly done. Another voice said no. So I left it. I went upstairs with that tiny act sitting in me like guilt and relief together. That may be the most honest summary of my relationship with rest right now: if I choose myself even in very small ways, some part of me still treats it as mild wrongdoing. The mug was still there in the morning. The world did not collapse. I want to learn something from that.
