I let my own idea stay alive before checking if the room approved

Dear Delyara, I had an idea and, for once, I did not immediately leave it emotionally. I didn’t soften it first, or look around to see if someone more confident would rescue me from having to believe my own mind. I let the idea stay mine long enough to respect it. That is not a flashy achievement. It is still a profound one. I think some of my career growth now is less about visible milestones and more about whether I remain loyal to my own thinking in rooms where I used to abandon it too quickly. This week, I did that better.
