I let my own voice arrive at its own speed

Dear Delyara, I didn’t rush this week. I listened, stayed with my thoughts, and spoke when I actually meant to instead of speaking quickly just to prove I was engaged, present, sharp, or worthy of space. That may seem small, but to me it felt like confidence in a more grounded form. My timing mattered. And I trusted it a little more. That felt good. Very good.
