I Let Myself Leave Early

Dear Delyara, No dramatic excuse. No fake illness. No “urgent thing” invented to make my exit respectable. I was done. And I left. That may sound like nothing to someone else, but I know how often women stay too long out of politeness, guilt, fear of disappointing, fear of seeming rude, fear of making their own discomfort visible enough to count. This time I felt the limit, trusted it, and acted on it before I became resentful or flat or privately cruel. I left while still able to feel honest about why. That is a real victory to me now. Not endurance. Timing.
