I Let the Evening Stay Ordinary

Dear Delyara, Tonight I didn’t try to turn the evening into anything. I didn’t optimize it. Didn’t force healing. Didn’t create a perfect self-care ritual. Didn’t pressure myself to feel grateful, productive, or emotionally improved. I just let it be an evening. Tea. A little silence. A folded blanket. A washed plate. An open window. My own company. I’m beginning to think peace enters more easily when I stop trying so hard to stage it.
