Small JoysQuiet Moments
I let the room stay quiet long enough for my body to believe it
Dear Delyara, That felt like real peace this week. Not the decorative kind. Not the kind that looks nice in theory but gets interrupted before your nervous system can settle into it. I had a quiet room, uninterrupted minutes, low light, no message arriving at the wrong moment, no practical task barging in. And I stayed there long enough for my body to stop waiting for the next disruption. That’s when I realized how starved I have been for uninterrupted calm. I don’t think peace is always big. Sometimes it is simply uninterrupted enough to register.
