The StruggleHealth

I listen too hard now

Dear Delyara, Every ache. Every flutter. Every tired day. Every small difference in energy or appetite or pain gets my full emotional attention in a way it didn’t use to. Once health has frightened you, the body stops being background and becomes a kind of ongoing conversation you don’t always trust. I miss not listening like this. I miss not interpreting. I miss not carrying fear into otherwise ordinary days. People think “everything came back normal” ends the story. Sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes the body remains loud inside the mind long after the appointment ends. Mine does.
