My Diary
I looked at my face in the mirror and saw how much of the week I was carrying in it
Dear Delyara, The sort of weight that gathers around the eyes when you’ve been too responsible for too many days in a row. The flatness at the mouth. The absence of any sparkle that doesn’t have to be deliberately performed. I looked like a woman who had been strong in boring ways for too long. That unsettled me. Because the face tells the truth before the mouth does. And my face was tired of everything being manageable.
