My Diary
I looked at the sky and felt briefly less personal
Dear Delyara, That may sound strange, but it felt like relief. My day had become too personal — every little thing entering the story of me, my adequacy, my tone, my tiredness, my response, my worth, my ability to keep the whole internal system functioning well enough to feel respectable. Then I looked up. The sky did not care in the most healing way. It didn’t reduce me. It resized me. It reminded me that I am not required to make every hard feeling into a full character study. Sometimes the world is just larger than the room inside my head, and that is enough to help. I needed that tonight more than any advice.
