I looked fine and felt awful

Dear Delyara, I think that was the whole problem today. I looked fine. Functioned fine. Answered people fine. Worked fine. And privately, I felt awful. That split between appearance and experience is exhausting. It makes it harder to ask for help because from the outside there is no obvious emergency. Just a normal-looking person having a not-normal day inside. I wish emotional pain always came with visible evidence. Maybe then people would believe it faster. Maybe then I would too.
