The StruggleAnxiety
I lose energy to things that never happen
Dear Delyara, One of the things I hate most about anxiety is how much energy it takes from events that never even occur. I spend emotional fuel rehearsing, predicting, preparing, imagining, bracing, doubting, rewriting, re-reading. Then the actual thing either happens gently or doesn’t happen at all. By then I’m already tired. That’s what makes anxiety so invisible. People see one message sent, one meeting attended, one short conversation completed. They don’t see the twenty imaginary versions that happened privately before reality arrived.
