I’m afraid of ordinary bills
Dear Delyara, Not the giant emergencies. The ordinary ones. School fees. The electric bill. The tire that needs replacing. The refill at the pharmacy. A birthday gift for a kid’s party. The kind of spending normal life should be able to absorb without turning a woman’s chest into a fist. But mine does. That’s what I hate about money stress. It doesn’t only show up when something huge happens. It moves into the small routine corners of life and poisons them. I hear “we need” and my body reacts before my mind even gets the chance to stay tender. I don’t want to mother from fear. Lately, I do.
