I’m proud that I kept wanting it

Dear Delyara, Sometimes I think the bravest part of a long-term goal is not the achievement. It’s continuing to want it while uncertainty keeps testing your dignity. It’s easy to become ashamed of desire when it takes time. Easy to become embarrassed by hope when the world offers too little proof too slowly. I’m proud not just that I reached it. I’m proud that I kept wanting it through the delayed years.
