I’m tired of the emotional architecture around one hidden thing

Dear Delyara, I think people underestimate the amount of architecture secrecy builds. It isn’t just one truth being kept. It becomes routes, habits, anticipated questions, practiced responses, altered storytelling, emotional monitoring, strategic silence. A whole interior structure gets built around keeping one room closed. That architecture is expensive. And lonely. I don’t always think about the secret itself anymore. I think about how much of my personality has become designed around protecting it. That realization is heavier than I expected.
