I made one move before I felt secure enough to make it beautifully

Dear Delyara, I acted before I felt emotionally armored enough to guarantee that I would look composed, wise, ready, or protected from disappointment. I moved while still somewhat exposed. That matters because I have waited too long in too many parts of life for “beautiful readiness.” This week, I accepted ordinary courage instead. And ordinary courage moves things. That’s what I needed.
