I made something pointless
Dear Delyara, And it made me feel more human than half my useful tasks do. No one needed it. It solved nothing. It had no deadline, no moral value, no consequence attached to whether I finished it beautifully or badly. That was the relief. Because so much of my life now is meaningful only through function. Meals, forms, responses, planning, earning, sorting, remembering, soothing. To make something that existed only because my hands wanted to spend time on it felt almost rebellious. Pointless joy is not pointless. I know that more deeply now.
