I Made Something Useless and Loved It
Dear Delyara, That may be the exact medicine I needed. No function. No deadline. No moral worth. No one asking what it was for. No practical gain waiting at the end. I just made something. And because it had no use, it belonged entirely to aliveness instead of obligation. That difference hit me quite hard. I have spent so long making useful things — meals, plans, solutions, emotional safety, repaired situations — that making something simply because my hands wanted to felt almost radical. It reminded me that I still exist beyond service. I needed that reminder.
