The BondFriendship

I miss being easy somewhere

Dear Delyara, A friendship where I don’t watch my tone, measure my emotional size, or wonder whether I’m already asking for more than the room is willing to hold. A place where my body can relax before I speak, not only after I leave. A place where the relationship does not feel like effort wrapped in loyalty. I think I miss ease more than anything dramatic now. Because ease is safety in the nervous system. And once it’s gone, the body knows even if the messages still look friendly. Too many adult relationships survive on history after ease has already quietly died.
