The SilenceLoneliness

I miss being emotionally expected by someone

Dear Delyara, Not admired. Not appreciated. Not politely cared about in a general sense. Expected. The person someone thinks of first. The person whose mood matters enough to register before anything is said. The person who is built into another life not as logistics, but as reflex, tenderness, and real presence. I think that’s one of the lonelier shifts in adulthood — when you remain needed in many practical ways but are no longer anyone’s first emotional turn by default. That absence is quiet. It still changes the climate of a life.
