The SilenceLoneliness

I miss being known in the middle, not only in summary

Dear Delyara, I think that is the kind of closeness I keep craving. Not someone who knows the basic facts. Someone who knows the middle. The middle of my moods. The middle of my timing. The middle of what certain silences mean. The middle of the story before I have to start explaining from the beginning. I think loneliness now is often this: having plenty of people who know the outline, and almost no one who knows the middle. That absence has a very particular weight. I felt it strongly this week.
