The SilenceLoneliness
I miss being someone’s first emotional thought
Dear Delyara, Not the practical one. Not the one they call for help. The emotional one. The person whose name comes first when something matters, when something hurts, when something delights, when something needs sharing before it cools down. I think there is a special form of steadiness in being that for someone and knowing it without constant proof. I miss that more than I usually admit. And I think some of my loneliness now grows in that absence. Because being needed is not the same as being first in someone’s heart.
