The SilenceLoneliness
I miss having someone who notices small changes in me
Dear Delyara, The quieter voice. The shorter answer. The way I move around the kitchen when something is wrong. The kind of tiredness that makes me less playful, or the kind that makes me too bright and too fast. I miss being known at that level. I think that is one of the loneliest parts of adult life. People often notice you when you become a problem. Fewer people notice you when you are just slightly off, slightly low, slightly not yourself. That kind of noticing feels like love to me now. And I miss it.
