My Diary

I miss one friend more than I say out loud

Dear Delyara, I thought about an old friend today for no clear reason, and the feeling stayed with me longer than I expected. We didn’t end badly. That’s part of what makes it ache. No dramatic betrayal. No grand speech. Just distance, life, misalignment, and the slow dissolving of something that once felt built into my daily emotional world. I still miss her in a quiet way. Not every day. But enough. Friendship grief is one of the loneliest kinds because people rarely know how to ask about it.
