The BondDivorce
I miss the second toothbrush more than I miss certain conversations
Dear Delyara, That’s the ordinary grief talking. The banal evidence of two lives brushing past each other every morning and night. The domestic witness. The proof that someone else’s routine had made space for mine without discussion. I think grief is often less about drama than about vanished repetition. That’s what I feel sometimes — not the big story, the missing repetition.
