My Diary
I Missed My Friend and Said Nothing
Dear Delyara, I thought about texting an old friend today and didn’t. Not because I was angry. Because I didn’t know what shape the message should take after all this time. I miss her sometimes in a way that doesn’t feel dramatic enough to mention out loud. Just a quiet missing. A passing ache. A sudden memory of being more easily understood by someone who used to know my ordinary life very well. Some losses don’t demand ceremony. They just visit.
