My Diary
I nearly drove home without the shopping
Dear Delyara, I had paid. Loaded the children in. Started the car. Then remembered the bags were still in the trolley bay. I got out and fetched them with that horrible hot embarrassment that comes when you realise how close you came to making one more stupid mistake in front of your own children. They didn’t care. I did. Because it wasn’t about the shopping. It was one more sign that my brain had become too crowded to trust easily. I am functioning, yes. But some days I feel like I’m doing it while balancing too many invisible trays and hoping nothing important slides off. That feeling is tiring all by itself.
